I recently filed a labor and got A# and would like to know the options to check the status.

My employer is not willing to give the user id and password of the secured sire through which they filed the labor.

I would greatly appreciate your input.

Status of PERM can only be checked by your employer (with their user id and password of the secured site). Unfortunately there is no other way to check the status.

Having a pending EB1 I-140 does not in itself confer any status. If you filed an I-485 concurrently, then you are permitted to remain in the US pending adjudication. If you have a currently valid H-1B you may remain or renew pending adjudication.

When we do Google searching for word �immigration� Google engine will present the results based on page ranking. Can we do the following:

1. Create a page in Immigration voice that indicates clearly �retrogression issues�
2. Then we �users� can try to sort of �market� it so that this page becomes most hit page, and becomes first few pages that shows up on top in Google search.

Hello,
I am completing 4 yrs of my H1 and currenty working with company. I already have my PERM & 140 cleared through this company (EB3).

Hence, if I continue with this company, I do not have to worry about 6yrs limit on my H1.

However, if I have to change my employer:
1. Now?
2. After completion of 6 yrs (i.e. H1 extensions) would I be able to do that?

Also, what will happen with my GC? Will that be fresh start from scratch?

I started to notice this back in 2006 when the immigration debate was heating up in Washington. I was getting those annoying email forwards and this time they were of the Lou Dobbsian anti-immigrant variety. I work in Philadelphia area. I have received a Job offer in NYC area which offers me a salary 70-80% more than what I earn now. Job responsibilities and descriptions are pretty much the same in new position.

Guys,

I filed our AP & EAD on August 10th with proof of 485 filing/delivery confirmation.
We got our receipt notices for AP 131 but unfortunately they have rejected our EAD 765 for incorretc filing fee of $180.
They written a notice saying the correct filing fee after July 30th is $340.

But for July VB is'nt the filing fee $180?

I have got back my entire documents packet for 765.

What should I do now? Should I resend the packet with a letter saying that I come under July VB? or should I send a new check for $340? Anybody gone thru similar experiences? Pls help.

I applied for I485 like many others in July. I just heard my group may be spun off from its parent company and might be funded by VCs. Does this mean I cannot use my LC/I140? If/When I get my EAD will it be valid?

No big deal....It does not affect you as long as your job is still same. The new company will take over your labour and I140 and you should be fine

Someone told me that I-140 have to be applied 45 days from PERM approval ? Otherwise PERM will get cancelled. Is that true. Can anyone help here.

IV Members,
My PERM Labor application was certified on Jan 24th 2011. Attorney received an email that the case has been certified and will send the approval notice shortly.

Its been close to 4 weeks and have not received the hard copy. can someone share their experiences about the time line to receive hard copy.
