Your PD must be current and 485 filing date (which is also called RD - received date) should be close to USCIS processing times. Currently, I believe that USCIS is working on applications that it received in July 2007.
But it is USCIS :D - miracles happen!!! Last year, they approved 2006 PD cases while applicants with 2003/2004/2005 were waiting :D Good luck.

Need advice ...I am currently on H1 B.
six years back (on F-1) I started working 2 business days prior to my CPT started.... Unfortunately ... that meant I did work unauthorized for a couple of days. Now I am at a stage where I need to use CPT experience to apply for PERM. Would stating the actual start date on form 9089 (which happens to be 2 days prior to actual CPT start date listed on I 20) pose any future issues?
CAn I be granted lineancy (something like 245K) if in in future this lapse becomes evident to U S C I S. How seriously would this minor violation be treated?

Hello everyone, My husband whose PD is Oct 2006 EB2 got his email today...
On March 24, 2010 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
I have two questions...
1) How is it possible to get GC out of turn.........?
2) We moved to a new house n updated the address, but for some reason it was not correct. The system(also the customer service) wont let me update till 45 days have passed. Now the document will come to the wrong address? What do i do?

Have we taken in to account these action items
1) Improve Overall GC Process time.
2) Re-use all unused visa's that went in vain in past
3) Count each family as one visa instead of each for each family member.
And What do we need to do as a member of IV to lobby these changes.

I am travelling to Penang on the 14th September, and I wonder how long it will take the consulate to process this visa application. Also, if I take the papers on a Friday morning, are they open for me to collect the visa on a Saturday ?

My current status is
I currently work for Company A (on H1B) and Company B is processing my GC (EB2, I140 approved; I485 in process) .
This month, I found a new job with Company C which I have to join on EAD (they don't do H1Bs). Also, in this month's bulletin, my PD became current. I had a few concerns/questions
1) Could the change in employment trigger any flags since I am changing companies and this is a future employment GC case (though its almost 3 years since the I-485 was filed)
2) What do you suggest I do since its so close? I waited all this time just not to complicate things (and remain on H1) but then as soon as have to start work on EAD, the date also becomes current (which I am definitely very happy about ) but now since both these events are so close, I am not sure what to do.
3) What other things are there to keep in mind in case of a future employment case?

I'm trying to figure out how to make a 3d vector animation of a person walking or dancing. more specifically, the outline of a person walking/dancing.
I've seen this before on other sites, but can't remember where. sometimes it's the 3d outline animation, sometimes its asingle-color 2d animation. does that make sense. I'll try to post an example if I find one.

Hi,
I had submitted my I-140, I485 and my wife's I-485/I-131/I-765 together. USCIS accepted everything but the I-131 form, which they returned saying that they couldn't located the I-485 application. Now, I have the receipt number for I-485. If I send I-131 back now, can I still use the old check? The old check is endorsed but was not deposited (they returned it).
To think of it, it is not my fault that they couldn't find the I-485 though it was in the same application packet.
I will appreciate any insight.
