I missed the boat in 2007. I think the bigger point here is that people vent their frustration of their GC journey only in a blog hiding their identity. When it comes to real work of meeting people, most hide under their bed..
If the July 2007 fiasco hadn't happened, we wouldn't have had this mess. Most waiting on GC would have quit and gone home making the line shorter :rolleyes:

I think even if the July fiasco wouldn't have happened we would have been in the same situation. Who would want to leave this country and go back. Many people who have applied in EB3 in 2004 -2006 know that they are stuck for another 6 - 15 years but they are still willing to wait.

H1B believe it or not is a "dual intent visa". F1 is NOT a dual intent visa. So what that means is even tho a person entered USA on H1B(which is Nonimmigrant visa) he can have a dual intent to "adjust status" and become a permanent resident.
So I would think it would very wise to be given a PD based on when a person started working on "H"
Coming in through H1 does'nt show your intention of becoming a permanent resident of this country. It only happens when the LC is applied. Although the entry date is an ingenious way, it will only create more issues. Now some one who comes in F1 can also ask for the same benefit when they move to H1, to take their entry date in F1 as their priority date. I believe the culprits are the labor substitution and the labor certification sales. Those are unfair. Stop labor substitutions, and if they need one, then use the 140 RD as the PD. That should solve most of the problems and people from using labor sub to jump the line.

Do not generalise all consulting companies...At least people working in these consulting companies sponsored GC and buying house and spending their money here. Most of the fradulent GC process was done by these croocked indian companies. They exploited the EB1C system to the maximum extend. Most of the times, they are not filing the GC and keep the employees as slaves or they exploit the EB1c fo their boot lickers.
Does anyone know such a bootlicker getting EB1c based GC? I wonder what a smart aleck that guy must been. There was a piece on NYT about India's penchant with lines and cutting lines by the uppity mongers..:D

These visa bulletins, and EAD renewals, and H-1B extensions are not going to cut it for those who want GC's sooner than later. Please help IV to help you.
1) Make those ever important phone calls, and

Withiin 2 hours of posting this message, late in the night we have got 8 people contributing $100 each. Thanks for the spirit. I am sure with everyone's help we will reach our target sooner and can easily commit our resources for the rally.

My EB3 PD is Oct 2003. I-140 approved and I-485 ND is July24th.when can i expect to get the green card?. thanks in advance.

This is only for EB 2 aliens of exceptional ability. As far as I know this does not need perm. I got an EB2 alien of exceptional ability when my last employer filed through Schedule A. So don't sweat this does not apply to the usual EB-2 route...as far as I can tell...

I just contacted the USCIS customer service regarding my pending AP application filed at NSC on July 24th, 2007. The customer service rep did not provide any useful information other than the usual "case received and pending".
However he did open a service request (SR) for me and advised me that IO will get back to me on the status of my AP application within 30 days and why its getting too long to adjudicate my AP application.
Do any of you have any experience what will happen from now on? Do they really respond within 30 days???

Filed I-485/EAD/AP - July 24th, 2007 - NSC

EAD received - Oct, 07
FP done
AP - Pending

Understand only you can spread the word around to contribute but can not say free riders.
One thing you need to know, if a new member joins here it takes a while for them to understand thecause of IV and contribute.

I already done that yesterday evening: Today I talked to both offices. Yesterday I just sent web form (E-Mail)... I could not speak to senators personally as both were unavailable but I spoke to their office staff and both have listened me and have guranteed to make sure this reaches to senator's eyes and ears.

If you have the username and password you can check the status in the DOL site. Usually only the lawyer and employer can check it as they don't give you the login details but some don't mind.

Maybe we can volunteer to adjudicate each of our own case...lol!
When I was a kid in school the teacher solved the bottleneck (of him/her doing the correction of tests) by having the students mark each others tests.
I'd be happy to adjudicate your case JunRN, if you'd adjudicate mine; heck, I'd even let you use your "current" Bank of America visa in place of a DOS visa :-)

Administration may not want to add that right now. I had poll long back to find out many of us are interested into it . Only few replied , with limited resources we cannot achieve any thing.
IV core had same and similar job , AC21 on agenda for this year's agenda. FOIA was small side project at that time.
Now coming to main point ... We see so many news that CIR is coming in early 2010. Administration may not want to add pre registration at that time when CIR passes and all dates become C for 2- 3 years. Then this pre registration will not help as long as you have labor approved. Whole admin fix is based on rule making process and that takes near to 6 months. Also new forms and new memo to all CIS dis offices. Way too for CIS my friend. They can be only on track with new process after year.
If we could have done that last year then it might be helpful. Even I recently did some research and found that Pre registration process that those lawyers talks to attract us is for H1B. CIS wants to implement for H1B and then try out for other non immi worker category and then for Green card applicants. I bet you we will get GC by then.
So we can contribute to IV and have IV to work on our stuff. Removal of country cap , STEM , Recapture etc.. That should easy line for all of us ( EB2 and EB3 )
