It means USCIS has pre-adjudicated your I-485 if it was filed before october 2008.
i thought it meant that you had to wait 4 months after your priority date is current to have any expectation of adjudication... no?

I dont have any opinions on the main topic here - just wanted to chime in on this one...
Many CEOs work for $1 a year - thats just the salary component and only one side of the story. There is another side to it - stocks and options. No one gives up the stocks that they keep getting every year..infact, for many of these guys, the salary is just a drop in the bucket. Their real cash cow is the hundreds of thousands in stocks that they receive each year. Nobody gives those up. The $1 per year is mostly a publicity thing...
So this actually supports my point. There is no "loophole" to close.
I recommend my friends snathan and swissgear to avoid actions based on jealousy over people just like yourself. But hurting them you hurt yourself
Giving reds - is that the only thing you can do? Do you want more "helpful" posts from me? I wish to avoid the specifics of your arguments or rebukes, as they are not important here, so if my replies are not "helpful" then perhaps your arguments are irrelevant to begin with

I have sent 50$ to IV through Bill Pay. I have also started a funding drive in my office locally. There are about 20 people in this situation. Lets see if any one contributes.

I have somebody in my family who is suffering from an incurable disease , thus I wan't to stay in this country till a medicine comes out. This country is known as the pioneer in the reserach of medicines . It may take 10 years for it to be in market but it may take another 25 years to be in India. I have been working with lot of pharmatuticals firms which may come out with a treatment.

Looks like in majority end july through August are pending the receipt of AP not to say some of the guys have still got it but they are from various service centers. Very inconstent. This is a document that has no accountability to be completed by X amount of time but we have all paid fees for it. Come vacation time and no AP, we will have to make the trip without the document. Its not that one decides to go to vacation every month. This is a losing deal for us. How do we address this delay? Infopass does not help I was told unless you decide to lie wholesale.

I think you are unnecessarily suspecting her posting. Retrogression kicked in Oct 2005 bulletin. So it is possible for her to apply in Feb 2005. I know for sure some people got their GC with similar priority dates. I think this whole immigration crap is turning everyone into cynical.

There could be lots of folks who missed July 07 fiasco. For the people who were able to file during July 07 that EAD is working as good as green card for now.. wish we could. Here is my case if that makes you feel little better that there are lots of people who missed the boat, I Had approved labor with PD Mar 06 and I-140 and i changed my Job in Mar 07 because of issues with desi company. I never imagined that dates will become current in just three months.. :mad:
Now i am still waiting for my labor.. I recently got three years H1b extension. This extension seems like green card to me :o

For all those people who are gun shy, let me assure you, it does not harm anybody. On the contrary it is helpful to all of us. Please consider pulling the trigger. The fund drive that is happening today is not the last drive; as long as we are active, their will always be fund drives. Maybe you are thinking of contributing after seeing the effects/results of Sept 18th. In that case, I urge you to contribute now to get the maximum bang for your buck. Think about the Macy�s firework in New York. It will be rather boring to see them light one fire work each night during the month of July, just because funds did not arrive in time or were slow to arrive. Sept 18th is our 4th of July. 2) employment letter from my new employer to prove that i am working on the same/similar job as my LC (since I did not submit AC21 documents), I need to do it now, since I changed my address and the letter mentions that I am not staying in the same state as of my original LC and now they require AC21 documents.

I agree. Since politicians have no incentives from helping our cause, it has to come to an extreme breaking point when USCIS/DOS or politicians take any action. I think we have reached that point and that will help in highlighting the mess we are in.

EB must also get some additional visa numbers from FB as an 'interest' for these 'loaned' visas from EB to FB. Now we have to finalize the 'interest' rate. How about 100%? ;)

My question (and suggestion) is, can the reverse happen in 2007-2008?
I know, this is an opportunistic and shameless suggestion from my part. But the fact of the matter is, we are rightfully entitled to the same number of visa numbers that we effectively 'loaned' to the FB visa category in the previous years.
What is important is that this sort of give and take can happen with out any law change. We only need to cry louder than FB folks, and USCIS may give unused FB visas to EB category.

I was going thru your question, I am kind of in the same boat. My PD is Jan'04 in EB3. Filed 485 for self and wife in Jul'07.
