I dont deal with junks...when you are so mean to spend a penny for your parents, every one knows how much you would contributed for IV.
I never said, I won't spend a penny for parents. What I said is, and you can go back to my post, is you should not send money to your parents to "support" them when your spouse is not willing to. Now I do apologize for how I actually said, since its misinterpreted, but again, if someones parents had money requirements, then they should make it clear at the time of "arranging" the marriage, not push it under the rug after marriage. And in this situation (pushing things under the rug), if your spouse does not agree to sending large sums of money continuously, then I don't find fault with her.
And you kiddo , you are not even married. So get married, and after 6-7 years of married life, and 1-2 kids in school, tell me your perspective.

My husbands DL expires on Oct 1st, 2007. The North Carolina DMV insists that he should have a valid H1B visa stamp in his PP in order to renew the license. He does have a valid H1B extension with I-94 at the bottom till Oct.2009. We dont want to leave the country as we are filing for our I-485's.
Any one in NC have any suggestions?

after going through some of the posts, i understand that there were earlier attempts to add SKIL amendments to other bills but it didnt fly..
Was there similar attempts to add provisions to 'capture unused numbers' and 'not include dependents for visa number count' to other bills before? Are these much more difficult to get done? Just want to know the history of these issues in the legislature...

TO : CIS Section 245 ADJUDICATIONS
FROM : Immigrant Visa Control
SUBJECT : Authorizations for Employment CASES
Effective Monday July 2, 2007 there will be no further authorizations in response to requests for Employment-based preference cases. All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available. Employment preference numbers will once again be available to these chargeability areas beginning October 1, 2007, under the FY-2008 annual numerical limitation.
The above action is a direct result of the sudden backlog reduction efforts of CIS offices during June and the first few days of July. During this short time period over 60,000 requests have been received and authorized. This is in comparison to the 66,425 CIS requests which were authorized during the first eight months of the fiscal year.
Please be sure that this information is passed to all personnel involved in the process of obtaining visa authorizations from the Visa Office for Section 245 cases

Why is there so much discussion surrounding this stimulus package, I thought all of were highly skilled, high educated clique who made the big $$.
I have seen numerous occasions where people boast of large pay packets, bill rates, and now this is a measly $1,200, an amount that could be made with working 2 days is generating such a huge discussion. This does not add up???

It's hard to believe that folks dont know anything about the Green-Card process when they come in. Let us say that you are right on, but they would have eventually figured it out by the end of couple years. I believe it is the situations like layoffs, move from one company to other for better prospects and salary will make them to enter the process late. It is their personal choice and I don't question that. But I believe they had options to apply for GC early in the process and they did not. So why penalize others who did before them. Please don't think Iam saying this because I entered late. I came during early 1998 and I did wait for 4 years to apply.

Many comapnies prefer I would say to start the process late so that they can hold on to the employee for longer period of time... Several reasons contribute to the LC being filed late. Pls dont believe SriKondoji. Hez known for spreading false rumours and making lame comments thus misleading ppl. He did the same thing on the July 2 Tracker and was booted out. Hence he was hiding for over a week and now is saying that he was out on a business trip :D. Hez full of lies...Admins, Moderators pls delete this thread as the "Monday" mentioned in the title has gone by and we dont need frauds still re assuring ppl about rumours - Thanx in advance.

I don't see Visas Recapture bill going any where.
It seems USCIS wants to potray that they are doing great job by doing various Process improvements. USCIS indirectly wants to say that eventually USCIS process will be improved to the extent that there will be no Visas wasted.
I think this was the most straight forward and simple bill. Other bills like removing the country limit are more challenging.So I don't see anything happening from immigration point unless democrats take over both senate and House in late 2008.
Hope for any legislative changes only in 2009 and beyond and not in 2008.

But they don�t consider it important to contact their senators and follow IV�s instructions on making phone calls. As I already stated, it is proven beyond the point that DOL and USCIS has only the ability to count the numbers. They do not even know exactly how much labor is pending by country. The same is true for I140 as well.
There is confusion even about how the count works. When your name is struck at FBI name check, it is not counted as backlog itself by USCIS anymore :( [I vaguely remember someone posting this quoting some reference from USCIS memo regarding reduction of processing times].
This is why in many cases you see the sudden forward movement in PD followed by heavy retrogression. Historically those who got approved when the PD is moved forward are always lucky.
